1. Information We Collect

When you use Live Ingest, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: Email address, name, and organization name provided during registration.
• API usage data: Request logs including timestamps, endpoints accessed, response codes, and IP addresses. Retained for 90 days.
• Event data: The content of events you publish through the API. Processed transiently for delivery and stored according to your retention settings.
• Payment information: Processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
• Monitor usage for billing and rate limiting
• Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
• Communicate service updates and security notices

3. Data Retention

Event data is retained based on your plan's configured retention period (default: 7 days). API logs are retained for 90 days. Account information is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information with:

• Infrastructure providers: To host and deliver the Services. All providers are contractually bound to data protection obligations.
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security audits. API keys are hashed and cannot be retrieved after creation.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

The dashboard uses session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on the API documentation.

8. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
